Stephen Maynard Caliendo received his Ph.D. from Purdue University and is Associate Professor of Political Science at North Central College. He is the author of "Teachers Matter: The Trouble with Leaving Political Education to the Coaches," and is finishing a new book entitled "Apolitical Communication: Language, Legitimacy and the U.S. Supreme Court." His work has been published in the Harvard International Journal of Press/Politics and the Journal of Research in Science Teaching.
